This is our 2nd sharp small screen TV. We use it mainly in the kitchen.

We gave our other sharp to our daughter as she needed a small TV. Apparently 19" is the smallest flat screen available. Our other Sharp TV was 15" and about 4 years old. We never had any problems with our first Sharp and were happy satisfied so we bought another Sharp

We are happy with the quality although the sound system could use a little help. The remote is a bit awkward. The volume and channel controls are above one another. Most remotes have them side by side.

To be honest, I don't know how good the TV's speakers sound because I have the sound running through my home theater system. I gave the sound quality 5 stars though because everything else about the thing is fantastic! Super easy to set up, it took about 15 minutes to get everything plugged in and connected to my computer and to my stereo. The picture is awesome, the color is out of this world, and all of my friends who have seen it say that it's one of the best TV's they've seen.

The only issue that I've had (the reason I gave "Reliability" 4 stars) is that sometimes when I put my computer to sleep and turn it back on, the sound doesn't go through. It could very well be a computer or other technical issue (dunno because I'm not a tech-savvy guy). All in all, though, it's been a great purchase!

This is a great, very nice looking HD LCD TV for a very good price. I originally bought the 27 inch Samsung 1080p at Costco, but found it a little small for the space. I was a little hesitant because of the 720p, but I found that this TV actually has a better picture quality than the 27inch 1080p, and its the same price as I payed at Costco (once you factor in taxes and state fees that you do not have to pay at Amazon). The size is perfect, the picture is great (with an HDMI cable) and the sound is also much sharper on this TV than the one I returned to Costco. I even linked my Roku to pandora and am playing it through this tv...sounds great! My one and only complaint is that the remote control is unnecessarily large. Otherwise...this is a great TV for a great price.

We were looking to replace a 13" CRT TV. Other units we looked at: Toshiba 15DLV77 but did not like the 4:3 aspect ratio, Westinghouse 15.6" had bad sound reviews, the Coby and Viewsonic 15" had a limited viewing angles. This Toshiba specs a 170 deg viewing angle, which it delivers, and that is not to be underestimated for a kitchen TV. The colors are true even at an extreme viewing angle and this is a great plus for watching while moving around the kitchen. The sound is perfectly adequate for regular kitchen ambient noise except if you intend to listen to it while running a machine such as blender or mixer.

There was a lot of bad review on channel changing delay. Here's what we found: if you hit the up or down arrow once it takes 2 seconds for the next channel to come in. If you hit the arrow several times (say 3 times to go from 4 to 7) it still takes 2 seconds after completion of the 3 hits for the new channel to come in. If you key in a direct channel (say 21) and hit the enter key, it takes about 1.5 seconds after hitting the enter key for the channel to come in. The only time it takes a full 6 seconds for a channel to come in is if you key in a number without hitting enter, then the TV is waiting 4 seconds or so for you to enter in more numbers before it finally gives up and changes the channel. This has not been a problem once you remember to hit enter.

1080 true p awesome picture wizard to set it up. 2 hdmi ports usb port to connect your ipod and play music right from your tv. great digital sound system. you cant get much better than this for the price!ohh and a headphone jack incase u wanna play movies late and not disturb others plus ethernet and aloso rgb soo it can be used as an computer monitor. its a great tv dont let anyone tell you diff ^^

Pros:
* Excellent picture quality at a great price via Amazon. Just started using it, no complaints so far.
* Quickly connected to the net via my router, was able to access youtube, netflix et all painlessly
* i was pleasantly surprised when i plugged in my 1TB external HDD and it recognized my movies and played most w/o issues.
* Was able to download and use the iphone app for remote controlling the tv

Cons:
* Shipping was not pain-free. Scheduled a delivery for a specific time slot. No phone call or delivery person. Tracking information did not show any delivery activity. I called CEVA shipping and a (nice) lady picked up. After waiting a bit, I was told the tv was still at the airport awaiting shipment. They said they would send someone to deliver in the next few hours. Delivery did arrive a couple of hours later, but only one delivery guy showed up. I had to help him carry it up two flights of stairs, which I was hoping i would not have to do since an Amazon customer rep specifically said the delivery people would be responsible for delivering to my apartment and unpacking it.
TV was undamaged though.
* Only one AV input, doesnt play nice with my Wii and old Xbox which do not have a hdmi output. but i knew this before buying
* Samsung needs to up its game and provide wifi access to such TVs w/o extra accessories.
* No "PC" share equivalent for Mac.

"Great product but WARNING:Do Not Turn On SRS!!!" 2010-06-28

This monitor should come with a warning label "Do Not Use SRS Audio" ... It will jack the firmware of the monitor and you will be stuck with power cycles over and over, rendering the tv/monitor completely useless. No amount of reset attempts will fix it. If I could do anything to take back turning that feature on I would. I loved this monitor when I bought it, waited for it while it was sold out, used it for gaming and a couple movies, and all of it looked amazing. I was shocked, pissed, and angry when I read two other reviews that had this warning and of course it was only after mine had suffered the same fate.

I now get to play the manufacturer return game and hope my next one looks as good and sounded as good as this one did before I changed that one setting and killed the unit...

Got it for my sunroom. Picture looks great in almost direct sunlight. The controls are pretty basic and the picture controls are too. Not a fan of the matte/glossy finish. Mounted on a white wall so its pretty ugly (from my POV). Cable picture looks great. Feel like I got a great deal. <$500
